We are looking for a B2B software sales professional to join our growing sales team.  Ascent360 builds a Customer Data Platform to help our clients build strong and lasting relationships with their customers.  Our B2B Sales Executives call on both mid-market and enterprise customers and must be able to manage their time effectively to maintain minimum sales quotas and manage a pipeline of varying deal sizes.  B2B Sales Executives are responsible for moving leads from the lead generation team through the sales process, negotiating contracts and closing those deals.  Our B2B Sales Executives also partner with the Business Development Representatives on our lead generation team to continue to fill the top of the sales funnel and create new opportunities.  Our Sales Executives are expected to participate in prospecting and business development activities as well as to coach, train and mentor the BDR’s.  All applicants must be comfortable working in a growing, dynamic organization and able to navigate constant change.  

Essential Functions:

  • Gain thorough technical understanding of Ascent360’s product offerings
  • Create and execute a sales plan in your respective territory
  • Exceed minimum activity requirements and sales quotas
  • Participate in warm prospecting; nurture warm leads and create opportunities
  • Respond to inbound leads and qualify opportunities
  • Complete product demos, create customized proposals and complete follow up activities to manage all deals through to qualification, evaluation and close stages of sales process
  • Partner with the CTO to vet out complexity of technical integrations when creating custom proposals
  • Partner with the CTO to ensure new client integration projects are prioritized in appropriate sprint cycles
  • Manage new client onboarding process and hand off to Account Management team
  • Brainstorm with marketing, other sales team members, and BDRs new and creative selling techniques, process improvements and ideas to accelerate sales growth
  • Create tradeshow plans and attend tradeshows as needed; manage appropriate communications and partner with BDR’s on follow up communications
  • Provide direction to Business Development Representatives to qualify leads and schedule product demos
  • Assist the Business Development Representatives in lead generation activities and create content for email campaigns in sales automation tool
  • Partner with the marketing team to provide insight and feedback on marketing materials
  • Mentor, coach and develop Business Development Representatives and peers

Minimum Job Requirements


Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience


  • A minimum of 3 years of on-quota, B2B software applications sales experience; marketing software sales experience is a plus, as is SaaS sales experience
  • Experience selling to large, complex organizations
  • Ability to understand customer requirements and create custom proposals based on specific customer needs
  • Demonstrated ownership of all aspects of territory management
  • History of consistent quota over achievement versus peers
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to negotiate effectively based on value and differentiation
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment as well as ability to succeed working independently
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively
  • Track record of building both geographically-based and vertical based sales territories
  • Bachelor’s degree required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a direct partnership model with lead generation team
  • Experience managing activities, goals and objectives for lead generation team members
  • Experience with sales or marketing automation software
  • Experience selling into marketing groups
